In June 2026, the Solstice Reed Quintet attended the Akropolis Chamber Music Institute as the ensemble in residence. We gave a concert at the incredible, historic Music House Museum in Traverse City, MI. Selections included Stacy Garrop’s Rites for the Afterlife, Arturo Marquez’s Danzon No. 6, and Al Theisen’s Nataraja.

Doctoral Lecture Recital
In April 2026, I gave a lecture recital at Florida State University about the effects of multimedia elements on audience perception.
The paper lamps were built by myself to add lighting effects to my free improvisation piece. The piece was built around bird calls of endangered species native to Florida, which I transcribed using extended techniques like quarter-tone fingerings and multiphonics.
